Jerry’s Artarama, a tucked-away sprawling store in Virginia Beach’s Fairfield Shopping Center, is moving to a smaller, much better fit along a 6.5-mile stretch filled up with arts and crafts stores.
“It’s going to be like arts roadway, ” stated Dave Dembitsky, assistant supervisor, with an emphasis on artwork, not crafts, for Jerry’s Artarama.
Whilst shop had filled its 16, 000-square-foot room with a couple of aisles of craft materials amid its canvases, oil paint and frames, the latest shop leaves the crafts to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann and A.C. Moore, which all sit across the several-mile stretch of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Laskin path.
Expected to start by the end of August, Dembitsky said the latest location won’t be past an acceptable limit from the Art Institute at Town Center and a possible future light-rail end.
It continues to be the just Jerry’s Artarama in every of Virginia. Next nearest located area of the 19-store string is within Raleigh, N.C.
Dembitsky stated there’s already been small base traffic at its 5258-A Fairfield mall area for ten years it's been here, but he’s wishing that changes because of the relocate to 4001 Virginia seashore Blvd.
