Soccer Store Springfield Va
Arlington, VA 22205
Today was the first time I ever went to this store. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, because I didn't encounter any rudeness, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Now, I'll say the guy working the counter, who I think is the owner seems to be quiet, but he was friendly and polite. As far as prices, it varies I guess ? I bought the Reusch glove wash for $8.50 here, and it's $13.97 on Amazon. I bought a pair of gloves that I paid a whopping $5 more here than on Amazon. I brought in the 15% off coupon as well, so any higher price differences were eliminated anyway. I think any items that happen to be higher price here is going to be a minimal increase really. It is also important to note that they had a LOT of stuff on sale, jerseys..t-shirts, just a lot. I'm giving it five stars, because I've been to quite a few soccer shops, and this one is up there in terms of selection and price. I would argue that the big box places most certainly do not have as many soccer items, much less as many soccer items on sale. In fact, if you are in the market for GK gloves and jerseys, I can say 100% you will not find better gloves, or as wide of a selection of soccer gear at Dicks, Modells, or Sports Authority. Bottom line: It is obvious from the breadth of merchandise that the owner loves soccer and it's a store for people who really love soccer too. I'll definitely be making future visits.
I love this place for the excellent service. While you can certainly meet your soccer needs for a cheaper price at a general sporting store or shopping online, I liked being helped by someone who was knowledgable about what they were selling. I also noticed that they seemed to be familiar and friendly with some of the customers, which leads me to think that they may have regular clientele. They're organized, friendly, and won't lead you astray. If you're a soccer novice, they'll help you with what you want or need. Plus, being an actual soccer store, they have everything that you need in one stop: cleats, soccer balls, jerseys, shin guards, etc. They have cleats for men and women, and a sale section. If I ever need anything else, I'll be back. :) Thanks Yusuf for all of your help!
This store is the worst. I have had numerous bad experiences here for years and finally decided to write a review. It's very expensive and the guy that runs the place has a terrible way of doing business. Good luck returning anything at this store. I'll never shop here again. We need a new soccer store in Arlington!
Not a bad place. I was in town on business and couldn't find any reasonably priced DC United gear for the kids anywhere in town, so I tried here. Oddly, they didn't have any United stuff either. The new, on-the-rack, stuff is pretty expensive. Sorry, but I'm not going to by a $60 short/jersey set that the kids will stain within 2 days and outgrow within a year. But football jerseys usually are pricey at most places. But they had a couple of good discount racks with lots to chose from. I can see where people would be turned off by the customer service. They don't exactly fawn all over you when you're there. But I sort of prefer that type of attention (or lack of). I just want to look around. The dude actually stayed on the phone the entire time that he was ringing me up too. I didn't really mind being spared the chit chat. He was pleasant and polite.
